Licensee WOOD & BUILD at the BISBEURS Expo in Flanders

Our Belgian SWISS KRONO MAGNUMBOARD® OSB licensee , WOOD & BUILD, recently participated in BISBEURS (BIS) together with its partner firm, Van Houtven. The largest construction and interior finishing fair in Flanders, this year the BIS took place from the 8^th to 16^th of October and attracted more than 250 exhibitors. Also present was SWISS KRONO application technician Harald Sauber, who supported our licensee by providing advice and explaining the benefits of the MAGNUMBOARD® OSB solid timber construction system to the many interested visitors. There was also a range of impressive exhibits which let them convince themselves of the system’s outstanding attributes. One of them showed prefabricated ducts for sanitary connections while another demonstrated direct coating possibilities.

At the close of the nine-day event, which comprised stands in six halls and attracted around 60,000 attendees, we and Van Houtven were thoroughly satisfied with the results. Among other things, a number of orders were also placed that we are looking forward to filling. WOOD & BUILD’s exhibit was the only one at the fair showcasing a forward-looking construction system, and visitors’ interest in it was correspondingly great. There was also an excellent response to the offer to show them round a construction site, which well over a hundred people signed up for.

We are very pleased to have our fingers so firmly on the pulse of the times with SWISS KRONO MAGNUMBOARD® OSB. Energy efficiency, resource conservation, carbon sequestration and last but not least a major feel-good factor are all excellent reasons to build with wood and engineered wood materials. The SWISS KRONO building system embodies the outstanding advantages of modern timber construction, which include extensive prefabrication, rapid construction and direct coatability – which visitors to the fair also appreciatively acknowledged.
