Advantages

	resistant to stains such as coffee, red wine or ink stain
	resistant to daylight and UV radiation (no colour fading)
	resistance to scratching, dent and abrasion – laminates (CPL AND HPL) used for worktops production are made in accordance with the standard PN-EN 438 – usual household-activities, except cutting, grinding and striking with any sharp / bunt tools, are allowed
	resistant to steam – the steam does not penetrate inside the worktop and does not cause delamination of the board- it relates to worktop surface. When white goods / home appliances are installed with worktop on the top of them, its bottom side has to be additionally and effectively protected from steam influence
	resistance to higher temperature allows to place directly on a worktop a dish of hot water, except any dish with an iron or metal undersurface. In such cases the insulating pads should be used
	resistant to chemical compounds,

All above mentioned features relate to worktop surface.

Antibacterial properties

All SWISS KRONO worktops have antibacterial properties. Such properties mean that bacteria do not grow on their surfaces. Antibacterial activity tests have been performed in accordance with ISO 22196:2011 against two bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli), and their results confirm that the worktop surface inhibits the growth of microorganisms.

Facts		Myths
	SWISS KRONO products - Laminated boards, worktops, flooring - have antibacterial properties and therefore increase our safety.		Antibacterial surfaces do not need to be washed, cleaned or disinfected.
	Hygiene (thorough hand washing, disinfection, maintenance of cleanliness) depends on ourselves and not just on the properties of interior design products.		The antibacterial surface is an antivirus surface.
	Not all bacteria are harmful.		SWISS KRONO laminated boards, worktops and flooring with antibacterial properties were created because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
	Bacteria do not multiply on the surfaces of SWISS KRONO products.		When touching antibacterial surfaces, you do not need to wash your hands.

Important Notes!

Each mechanical interference (milling, cutting) in the structure of the table top requires absolute protection of open surfaces against moisture. We recommend using commercially available agents, e.g. polyurethane-solvent adhesives. Additionally, for sealing the edges, for example, silicone should be used. In the case of installation of household appliances under the countertop, its underside must be additionally and effectively protected against water vapor.

The back edge of BK (in one-sided curved tops) does not protect the top against water. We recommend using, for example, worktop trim.

For the maintenance of kitchen worktops, it is recommended to use a soft, dry or damp cloth. Coarse dirt can be removed with a washing-up liquid solution. Then wipe with a damp, soft cloth and wipe dry. No aggressive cleaning agents or polishes can be used. More information in the "Instructions for assembly and use of kitchen worktops".
