We’re looking forward to welcoming you at the 2024 edition of the DACH+HOLZ (ROOf+TIMBER) International trade fair and acquainting you with our new OSB products, which have a great future ahead of them for timber-frame and solid timber construction. You’ll find us at stand no. 209 in Hall 10. We’re also taking our SWISS KRONO Show Module along – it’s a great way for you to get acquainted with our new products and innovative applications. Here are four of our product highlights: 

ONE-BLOCK Wall

This solid, dismantlable party wall made of SWISS KRONO MAGNUMBOARD® OSB excels with high airborne sound attenuation (Rw = 66 db). As it integrates a layer of PhoneStar Schalli acoustic insulating board, no additional soundproofing is needed. Its surfaces can be directly covered with plaster, paint, wallpaper or tiles. 

MAGNUMBOARD® OSB with three finishes  

Starting immediately, we’re offering our solid timber construction system in three different versions: 

• Basic: For cutting and/or shaping to add value of your own – suitable, for example, for solid wall, roof and ceiling modules for detached homes or blocks of flats and industrial structures 

• Evolution: For timber walls with grooves and external tongue inserts and a bottom or floor plate – for example, suitable for vertical extensions, garages and partition walls 

• Premium: Completely prefabricated ready-to-install modules – for architects, planners and investors to plan (for example) blocks of flats or office buildings, including taller and subterranean buildings with larger units 

Tested timber-frame construction with REI 60 (equivalent to F 60-B) fire rating without fire-resistant cladding 

SWISS KRONO has successfully carried out fire tests of REI 30 (roughly equivalent to F30) and REI 60 walls in normal-height and taller buildings in collaboration with the German Association for Prefabricated Timber Construction (DHV), German insurer HDI and Rockwool. 

Acoustic demo 

We make acoustic insulation audible! To achieve this, we simulate how different walls reduce traffic noise or music in an adjacent room. Experience how optimised acoustic insulation results in noticeably quieter rooms!
