SWISS KRONO France has been present in France for 30 years and is a major industrial player in the field of wood-based products. More than ever, the company is committed to a sustainable development approach. SWISS KRONO promotes the use of PEFC-certified wood and thus contributes to sustainable forest management with its own logging companies. Located in the heart of a forest massif and close to major consumer centres, SWISS KRONO is reducing its supply of raw materials and product deliveries, thereby significantly reducing its carbon footprint.

In addition, the group and particularly the French site are making major investments to reduce the dependence of their plants on fossil fuels, using dust and raw material residues as fuel.

In addition, the use of wood for the manufacturing of panels makes it possible to permanently anchor the CO₂ in furniture or construction products, which can themselves be reused at the end of their lifecycle.

The group's long-term strategy includes targeted investments to protect the environment and reduce the consumption of natural resources:

• Reduction in the consumption of raw materials, water and energy.
• Use of recycled wood where possible.
• Use of non-utilised biomass to reduce the use of fossil fuels.
