SWISS KRONO: Successful Launch of kiwi now at DOMOTEX 2024

| SWISS KRONO Group

January 2024 – With the motto ‘Step into the Future’ the Swiss producer of wood-based materials SWISS KRONO exhibited new flooring innovations at this year’s DOMOTEX trade fair. The firm invited visitors to its Design Station in Wittstock and came away highly satisfied with the fair and the excellent feedback received from customers. The next stop is SURFACE in Las Vegas.

‘Having successfully partnered with SWISS KRONO for more than 30 years, we’re very pleased to see that the company is still a leading innovator in its field. We’re inspired by the kiwi product family, which is a real breakthrough with its exciting new functions and benefits, and the chance to directly talk to consumers’, said José Rode Royo, the CEO of Bariperfil, about SWISS KRONO’s presentation. Pany Aristophanous, in charge of procurement at Lanitis Aristophanous in Cyprus, was similarly enthusiastic: ‘The SWISS KRONO stand was definitely one of the best at DOMOTEX – so refreshingly open and with a really positive ambience. The debut of kiwi now is an all-round success and right on the button for its target group.’

These two customer testimonials, and overall the feedback received, leave no doubt that SWISS KRONO has hit the bull’s-eye with kiwi now, showing once again that the firm’s product developers have their fingers on the pulse of the times.

kiwi now is the first wood-based floor covering in the ‘hybrid resilient’ category that is specifically aimed at meeting the needs of Generation Y. It combines the advantages of vinyl and laminate. ‘We presented our new umbrella brand for the first time at DOMOTEX. Its concept is dynamic, in other words it will be steadily developed further and adapted to meet specific customer wishes. The fact that customers understand how this works and are responding so positively confirms our strategy’, says Fabian Kölliker, the Head of Group Marketing at SWISS KRONO.

Not only kiwi now but also the new Evolution PURE product line of the COREPEL family made a splash at DOMETEX. In it, SWISS KRONO has combined two things that had long been held to be incompatible: an extremely robust, watertight flooring with a real wood surface. SWISS KRONO has thus succeeded in combining the aspects of technology, aesthetics and sustainability.

Right after DOMOTEX, SWISS KRONO invited customers and business partners to its Design Station. Around 20 customers from China, Australia, Lithuania, Colombia, Greece and Romania had previously been in touch, all of them expressing the wish to learn more about the details of SWISS KRONO’s products and how they are manufactured. ‘Here we’re getting together with customers from Germany and the rest of the world to identify new trends and customer wishes and needs’, says Robert Schneider, responsible for sales and marketing at SWISS KRONO Germany. ‘Dialogues of this kind are enormously important to us. They help us look further afield and see the big picture, derive inspiration for developing new products and acquire the know-how we need to stay ahead of the competition.’

Energised by all the positive feedback received in Hannover and new ideas inspired by the talks in the Design Station, SWISS KRONO’s is now heading to SURFACE in Las Vegas. North America’s largest trade fair devoted to floorings and floor design will take place from the 23rd to 26th of January 2024. Producers, wholesalers and retailers, architects and designers from all over the world will get together there to talk about the latest products, trends and technologies. SWISS KRONO will also showcase its new kiwi now flooring brand there, and is looking forward to getting more feedback from customers on the ‘hybrid resilient’ product category in order to integrate it in upcoming steps of its ongoing evolution. SWISS KRONO will also unveil a new laminate collection for the North American market at SURFACES.
