Automation technicians build electrical controls, apparatus, machines or automation systems. Together with other specialists, they not only manufacture the automated systems, but also commission and repair them, as well as project planning, programming and documentation.
Automation technicians work in a wide variety of areas such as the development and construction of power distribution systems as well as in the production and commissioning of robots and various systems such as filling systems or sorting systems. Depending on the activity, the production hall or the planning office is their workplace.
