Woodyard Employee (m/f/d)

Job description:

The woodyard employee at SWISS KRONO is responsible for handling the arrival of trucks laden with wood as well as for ensuring optimum, proper inventory management. They must ensure that all systems in the downstream production process are kept supplied in compliance with safety regulations. 

Your tasks at SWISS KRONO:

• You will unload trucks by means of a special forklift truck,
• You will be responsible for moving bulk materials by wheel loader,
• You will feed and remove bulk materials to and from individual production areas,
• You will fill, operate and maintain the chipping systems as well as bark sifting & drying,
• You will control the mobile crane (Sennebogen),
• You will observe all guidelines relating to health and safety, environmental protection, fire prevention and the prevention of accidents.

These must be your qualifications:

• You will have good technical understanding,
• You have the ability to work in a team, are reliable and able to work independently,
• You are able to grasp situations quickly, you are careful and well-organized,
• You have a Class B driving licence,
• You are willing to work in a shift system.
