Day 1 at ROOF+TIMBER International 2018: A Great Start for SWISS KRONO
21.02.2018 | News | SWISS KRONO Deutschland
ROOF+TIMBER International in Cologne, Germany is devoted to timber construction, interior finishing, roofs and walls. This year, than 570 exhibitors from over 30 countries are presenting their latest technical advances and innovative products for building envelopes between the 20th and 23rd of February. They include us: at stand no. 7.311 in Hall 7, we are showcasing our high-performance modern SWISS KRONO OSB products to interested attendees.
ROOF+TIMBER International is the leading European trade fair for everyone involved in timber construction and roofing. It attracts carpenters, roofers, plumbers, architects and planners to find out what’s new in this sector and pick up on the latest trends to optimally prepare themselves for the upcoming building season.
At the SWISS KRONO stand, two highlights take centre stage: the SWISS KRONO MAGNUMBOARD® OSB massive timber construction system and SWISS KRONO LONGBOARD OSB boards, which are presumably unmatched anywhere in the world with their lengths of up to 18 metres. “We developed SWISS KRONO MAGNUMBOARD® OSB and SWISS KRONO LONGBOARD OSB specifically to meet the needs and wishes of owner-builders, users and planners: extensive prefabrication, fast assembly, easy use, low-joint construction – all with superlative eco-friendliness!” says Uwe Jöst, Managing Director of SWISS KRONO GmbH. “ROOF+TIMBER is the ideal platform for showing our OSB products to users and planners and convincing them of their advantageous properties and high quality.”
SWISS KRONO MAGNUMBOARD® OSB modules feature an unprecedented level of prefabrication. Even recesses and holes for pipes and other installations can be made in advance. This significantly reduces the time required to assemble them. It also speeds the completion of projects, as the sanded surfaces allow direct finishing of interiors without the need to cover them with plasterboard or the like first. Especially in this point visitors to our stand realized a clear advantage over glulam. Stefan Gottfried and Harald Sauter, our technical consultants and application technicians, are explaining these and many other attributes and details of the product, also in connection with tours for manual tradespeople organised by Bauverlag (Germany’s largest publisher of technical information for architects and builders).
Today the tours brought a group of carpenters and roofers to the SWISS KRONO stand. Drawing on their in-depth technical competence and many years of hands-on experience, our experts credibly and convincingly explained the applications, relevant physical properties and benefits of SWISS KRONO MAGNUMBOARD® OSB and SWISS KRONO LONGBOARD OSB to tour participants, who were absolutely fascinated. More of these tours will also be stopping by our stand on the remaining days of ROOF+TIMBER.
To demonstrate the practical use of our two product highlights at this industry event, we prepared and are showing extensive narrated photo documentaries on one of the screens at the stand. Among other things, they show the construction of a holiday residence on the island of Sylt using SWISS KRONO MAGNUMBOARD® OSB and an interim school in Nuremberg with SWISS KRONO LONGBOARD OSB. Crowds of visitors are constantly watching them. We have held many interesting talks and collected many promising leads, and are very optimistic about the rest of the event here in Cologne.
